Just Plain Talk: Traditional hardware store era ends soon for Overholt's After 6 decades Overholt's over You saw the wood sign in the parking lot of Overholt's Hardware store weeks ago. It was the clue for me to pay a visit and find out when this landmark business would end its life, if that's what was happening. While I did not get to see the owners my first visit during the 30% off sale, I did walk away with a large galvanized tub. Last Tuesday late morning I returned to find Willis Suggs moping and later, his partner, Lee Willis, walking around chewing tobacco. We had a great talk about the business and I learned about earlier businesses well known to you older readers.
