Lynn Willis, age 61, of Newport, born November 24, 1955 passed away, Saturday, July 29, 2017, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband, son, and family at Fort Sanders Medical Center. She was a faithful member of Northport Baptist Church, where she was dearly loved. She truly loved her church family. Lynn was a clerk at Overholt’s Hardware for many years, was co-owner of H & W Locksmith, and was a friend to everyone she knew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Carolyn O’Dell; father-in-law, Hubert Willis, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Hubert Willis; son Matthew Willis; brother, Danny Ray O’Dell; uncle, Nelson Williams; mother-in-law, Gladys Willis; brothers-in-law, Lee (Ovella) Willis, Walter (Lois) Willis; sisters-in-law, Margaret (James) Suggs, Frances (Sam) Meeker, Louise (Willis) Suggs, and Glenda Willis. She is also survived by many other, cousins, family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm Monday, July 31st, 2017, with funeral services following at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kris Brady and Rev. James Suggs officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 in Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Celebration of Life Cancer Support Group, c/o Michelle Sexton, 824 Tucker Place Way, Dandridge, TN 37725.
