She was born April 23, 1914 to the late Ned and Mae Siler Nelson. She was a member of Goodfriend Baptist Church. Preceded in death by grandson, Todd Sudderth; sisters, Margaret Porter, Edna Keith; son-in-law, Harold Sudderth. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, William L. and Vernice Upton, of Michigan, Douglas and Sylvia Upton, of Knoxville; daughter, Mary Nell Sudderth, Madisonville; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Nelson, Michigan, Gwendolyn Conrad, Mississippi; sisters-in-law, Charlene Holmes, Dorothy Upton, of Michigan, Betty Beattie, of Knoxville; other extended family and friends. Funeral 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. James T. Wilkes officiating. Interment in Park City Cemetery.
