Michael John Ridings, 54, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family to enter forever peace. He was born April 16, 1957. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Our Lords’ Disciples Church. He was a Green Bay Packer fan and loved to play Dominos. We will miss his sense of humor, his smile, and his funny stories. He was preceded into heaven by his grandparents, Rev. C.C. and Ida Stinnett Oliver; brother, Nick Gribble; uncles, Junior and Don Oliver; aunts, Edith Hembree, Margie Burns; sister-in-law, Pat Gribble; cousins, Steve Lawson and Carol Bradam. He leaves behind his mother, Gladys Oliver Burns and her husband, Jim Burns, Tina Ridings; daughter, Andrea Ridings Bookhardt and her husband, Kris Bookhardt; son, Clint Ridings; grandchildren, Cameron and Carys Bookhardt; beloved brothers, Joe Dan Gribble, Robin Gribble and Jerry Ridings and his wife, Lori Ridings; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Richard Richter officiating. The family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Caylors Chapel Cemetery in Townsend for a Military Graveside service.
