RUDD , ZELLA I. - age 96, of Carbondale, Ill., formerly of Maryville, passed away at 3:25 a.m. January 30, 2000 in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. She was a member of Maryville Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday February 4, 2000 at Grandview Cemetery, Maryville, with Rev. Earl Taylor officiating. Zella was born October 15, 1903 in Seymour to James "Bruce" Henry Bohanan and Rachel (Jeffries) Bohanan. She married James Elmer Rudd on August 5, 1930 in Chicago. He preceded her in death in November 1985. She is also preceded by her parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include 3 daughters, Shirley Dunagan of Carbondale, Ill., Nancy Farmer of Squaw Valley, Calif., and Janice Farris of Maryville; 8 grandchildren, Ross Dunagan and Aurelia Dunagan of St. Louis, Mo., Diane Hodges of Dixon Springs, Linda Holloway, David Bivens, and Stewart Bivens, all of Maryville, Gerri Sue Dale and Joe Grasser of Albany, Ga.; 9 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maryville First Baptist Church New Family Lifestyle Center. Meredith Funeral Home, Carbondale, is in charge of arrangements.
