Linda Arlene Strickland, age 63, of Alcoa, passed away April 24, 2013, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born in Virginia August 3, 1949. She lived in Peoria, Ill., for many years before moving back to Tennessee. She was the daughter of the Late Charles and Marie Strickland. She was the eldest of seven children and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley and Jeffery. She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie Joe and Angie Strickland; grandchildren, Heaven, of Virginia, Aaron, Jordon, Colton, Jessie and Seth, all of Illinois; sisters and brothers in law, Judy and Bill Conner, Carol and Allen Potter, Kathy and Lester Baker; brother, Darrell Strickland; sister-in-law, Doris Strickland. Linda had an exceptionally loyal and true best friend since childhood, Vickie Donaldson. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at East Alcoa Baptist Church.
