He is survived by his wife, Celeste Swagerty; sons, David and Winston Swagerty; grandchildren, Sedrick Swagerty and Felicia Nicole Swagerty; sister, Bessie Thomas, of Newport; sisters-in-law, Patricia Swagerty, Atlanta, Georgia, Alene Bell, Morristown; brother-in-law, Bobby Stokes of Dayton, Ohio; sisters-in-law. Cynthia Branner, Jefferson City, Angela (Tommy) Ledford, Talbott, Lisa Curberson, Morristown, Della (Carl) Brown, Jefferson City; brothers-in-law, Sanford (Chris), Albert, Harold, Clyde and Jeffery Curberson; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rosie Cuberson officiating. Burial will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in Gum Springs Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
