(February 22, 1954 - May 16, 2012) U.S. Veteran Herman Andrews, age 58, of Newport, passed way Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home. Herman was a veteran having served in the U. S. Army 8 years and the National Guard 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Margaret Louise Andrews, and grandmother Barbara Jenkins. He is survived by his brother, Kermit (Imogene) Andrews; sisters, Edith (Paul) Hudgens, Lois (Richard) Meadows, Charlotte Webb (Jimmy Blazer), Colleen (Jackie) Styles; uncle, Charles (Betty Jo) Jenkins all of Newport; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm with funeral services following at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Martin Stump officiating.
