Mrs. Goan was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Goan ; and son, Hohn A. Goan . Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Helen and William Oakes; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Goan ; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Richard Davis, all of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, George David and Janice Goan of Houston, Texas and Eugene and Charlene Goan of Alabama; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and William Miller of Florida; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and David Simpson of Chicago, Ill.; very dear brother-in-law, Charles Goan and his wife, Beulah; special caregivers, Ann, May and Charlotte. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Friday followed at 2 p.m. by the funeral service at Arlington Baptist Church with Rev. Gordon Greenwell officiating. Interment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Grandsons will serve at pallbearers. Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
