Moore, Robert (Bob) -age 87 of South Knoxville passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. Born in Knoxville to Mitchell and Betty Moore, he is the last of thirteen children. He served with the US Army, a decorated World War II veteran, a Purple Heart recipient and a lifelong steel worker with Robert Shaw Controls. Survived by wife of 51 years, Allene Moore; loving daughter and son, Janet Glass and Robert Moore, Jr.; grandchildren, Sherrie Ogle and husband Jason, Stone Moore, Abigail Moore; several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. A special thanks to all of our friends and family for their continued support. Remember Bob's words to live by "Don't ever forget where it all comes from!-Hard work, Humility and Spirituality." The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Gresham officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 pm prior to the service.
