Thelma Moore, age 80, of Del Rio, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 12, 2013. She was of the Methodist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents; Newton and Lena Smith, son; Steve Dillon Moore, and the father of her children; Arthell Moore. She is survived by her daughters; Marlene Smith and her fiance Billy Joe Schultz of Athens, TN and Janie (Bert) Mullen of Newport, sons; Warren (Penny) Moore of Haymarket, VA and Carroll (Susie) Moore of Del Rio, sister; Edna Moore of VA, grandchildren; Kevin (Janet) Moore and Aaron Moore of VA, Ashley (Jonas) Clevenger of Del Rio, Kelley (Shannon) Moore, Hannah Mullen and Emma Mullen of Newport, great grandchildren; Grant, David, Julia and Lilly Moore of VA, Cambree and Brylee Clevenger of Del Rio and a host of special family and friends. She is also survived by her special family and caregivers at the Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Mulberry Gap Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulberry Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. prior to the funeral services.
