HEADRICK, JAMES ALFORD (JIMMY FOX) born June 23, 1933, went to sleep in the arms of Jesus on March 10, 2011. He was one of seventeen children born and raised in the hills of Tennessee. He worked with many of the musical greats from the Grand Ole Opry, such as Marty Robbins, Jean Sheppard, Roy Acuff, Tex Ritter, Waylon Jennings and many more. "Jimmy Fox" also played with the USO providing entertainment to many troops around the world. He will be sadly missed by a great number of family, friends and fellow musicians. When he was graciously saved he began writing songs about his walk with the Lord. He touched many people with his musical calling from God and became a proud member of Raccoon Valley Church of God extending the Lord's message. Mr. Headrick was preceded in death by his parents, Olaf Raymond Headrick and Lois Amogene Rose Headrick. He is survived by his wife, Barbara S. Headrick of Corryton; children and their spouses, James C. and Debbie Headrick of Norris, Paul S. and Rachel Headrick of Knoxville, Candice R. and Nathaniel DeBord of Rockwood, Michael and Andi Haddad of Oklahoma City, Brenda F. and Todd York of Knoxville and Greg E. and Debbie Crisp of Powell; grandchildren, Todd York, Kristina Bullen, Brittany Huling, Bradley Headrick, Brianna York, Gregory Crisp, Vanishia Beets, London DeBord, Savanah DeBord, James DeBord, Sky McMahan and Stormy Glenn; great grandchildren, Jackson, Brayland, Halie, Adam, Jacob, Trestin, Alexis, Natalie and Rhylei; brothers, Charles, Ed, Wayne, Mike and Johnny; sisters, Dorothy, Judy and Mary Ruth; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Don Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Highland South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
