Trentham, age 86, of Parrottsville, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at his home. He was a member of Parrottsville United Methodist Church. L.B. served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Pennsylvania in WWII. He was also a teacher and principal for 31 years in the Cocke Co. School System where he retired in 1981. He was a charter member of the Parrottsville Volunteer Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester Trentham and Dovie Francis of Parrottsville, brother James Eugene Trentham of Jacksonville Beach, FL, father-in-law and mother-in-law L.B. and Mildred Ragan of Parrottsville. Survivors include his wife Evelyn Trentham, sons Lanny Trentham (Charlene) and Larry Trentham (Sharon) both of Parrottsville, grandchildren Scott Trentham (Lacy) of Parrottsville, Brian Trentham of Johnson City, Steven Trentham (Sierra) of Washington, D.C., brothers Alvin Trentham of New Market, Charles Trentham of Newport, sister-in-law Paula Trentham of Jacksonville Beach, FL. As per his request, he will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parrottsville United Methodist Church, Parrottsville School Library, or Parrottsville Volunteer Fire Dept. Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Trentham family.
