Mary Sue Myers Phillips, 87 of Maryville, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour on June 3, 2013. She will always be remembered for cooking for everyone and loving to have fun with others. Being born in Cades Cove, she was very proud of her heritage. She had a great love for her family and her church. But her greatest love and joy was for her Lord. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her but we are comforted by knowing she is celebrating a homecoming and reunion in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde J. Phillips; parents, John and Rebecca Oliver Myers; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Clydene and Arnold Russell of Maryville; granddaughters, Megan Bledsoe and husband Jonathan, Michelle Hairell and husband Ryan; sister-in-law, Betty Myers; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including her special cousin and friend, Pearl Sharp.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Blair and Rev. Onley Williams officiating. The interment service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Blair officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. 982-6812
