Herbert Davis Harned, of Parrottsville, passed away, Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Herbert Davis Harned was born Dec. 9th, 1932 to the late Loys “Hook” & Hazel Davis Harned. Herb, as everyone called him, was a farm hand and lived in the Harned’s Chapel community all his life.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Carl Harned, Fred Harned & Edd Harned along with nephew Jimmy Harned. He is survived by his sister Betty Harned Bolinsky of Eustis, Fla., sister-in-law Cheryl Burchette, special nieces & nephews Annette Harned Berney (Donn), Charlotte Powell, Jerry Harned, Barbara Cates (Kim), Julie Linn (Mike) and Sandy Palmer all of Ark., Debra Fritz of Stuart, Fla., Lisa Martin of Seattle, Wash., special great nieces & nephews Tre’ Berney (Sarah) of Ithaca, NY , Julie B. Galyon (Derek), of Sevierville and special great great nephews Eli Walker Berney and Jesse Fritz along with numerous more nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fred Harned Memorial Scholarship Fund at P.O. Box 174, Parrottsville, TN 37843.
Graveside service at Union Cemetery Friday Jan. 27th at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Chris Stanfield and Donn H. Berney presiding.
