Miss Helen L. Sane , 72, of Newport, passed away peacefully at her home following a lengthy battle with cancer on Monday, October 2, 2006, at her home. Miss Sane devoted her life to taking care of her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ethel Blazer and Melvin Herman Sane ; brother, Cecil Sane ; sisters, Debbie Gregg, Pearl Gregg, Sarah Peters, Iva Sauceman, Mae Elizabeth Sane , and one very special niece, Jo Ann Sane . Survivors include her beloved son, Ottis Sane , of Newport, with whom she made her home. She is also survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie Gail and Junior Sane , of Parrottsville, and Sheila and Anthony Norton, of Del Rio; loving grandchildren, Alma and Jeff James, of Newport; Melvin Sane , of Parrottsville; and Chelsea and Cassie Norton, of Del Rio; great-grandson, Aaron Sane , of Newport; step-grandchildren, Rusty Sane , of Parrottsville, and Charles Sane , of Rogersville; step-great-grandchildren, Michael, Sharon, Derrick, and Brittany James, all of Newport; Bradley, Shant?, and Dekota Sane , all of Rogersville; loving sister, Ruth Gregg, of Parrottsville; loving brother, J.D. Sane ; loving brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Vella Mae Sane , all of Parrottsville. Additional survivors include, a special loved one, Pat Ellison, of Newport. Miss Sane will be sadly missed by many friends, and most of all, her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2006, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Jennings and Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Paul Sane , Junior Gregg, Ishmael Sane , Mac Sane , Brent Adams, Jerry Bible, Rick Peters, and Frank Lewis. Arranagements by Costner-Maloy.
