(July 23, 1941 - January 9, 2012) Delores Laverne Curtis, age 70, of Maryville, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, at UT Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Gladys Graves. She is survived by her husband, John Curtis of Maryville; daughter, Gwendolyn Curtis of Maryville; sons, Darrell and Timothy Curtis both of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Edith Rowena and Chester Hembree of Rockford; niece and husband, Pamela and Mike Dixon of Rockford; nephew and wife, Chester Lee and Jennifer Hembree of Alcoa; aunt, Ola Clark of Maryville; and several great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. J. D. Nuchols and Rev. Danny Buchanan officiating. Family and friends will gather 2:00 PM Friday at Ellejoy Cemetery for the interment, Rev. Carl Crowe officiating.
