George Voss Britt, Jr., age 57, went to be with the Lord January 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, George Voss Britt, Sr. and brother, Donnie Ray Britt. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Thompson Britt; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Roger Gribble; daughters, Amanda Britt, Tammy Sharp; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Ricky Shepherd; stepsons, Ezekiel Thompson and Patrick Hurst, Jr.; mother, Janetta Minton Britt; father and mother-in-law George and Jenne Hicks; brothers and sisters-in-law Wayne and Kathy Britt, Michael and Mickey Britt, Roy and Cory Britt, Bary and Lois Minton, Chris and Kim Britt; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Gail and Gene Carmon, Barbara Bryant and Vickey Miller; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Victor and Gina Vance, Kristy Thompson, Stacy and LaShannon Wilson, Jesse and Rachelle Ashby; grandchildren Aiden and Alex Shepherd, Carina, Jack and Brooklyn Gribble, and many other grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friends, Ronnie and Donnie Webb, Brad Cox and Bruce Green. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, January 13, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Peggy Moore officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Hills Union Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday prior to funeral service.
