U.S. Veteran Glenn Roberts, age 92, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a decorated veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hester King Roberts; and brother, Fred Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Gene Roberts; children, Glenda Dixon, David and Kathy Roberts, Karla and Craig Davidson, and Ramona and Marvin Kagley; grandsons, Dylan Dixon, Sheldon Dixon, Brandon Roberts, Joshua Roberts, and Aaron Oliver; granddaughter, Dana and Coty McClurg; and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity organization. Graveside service and interment will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Morganton Cemetery, Mr. Marvin Kagley officiating.
