Ronald C. Woody , 64, of Hixson, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2007.
He was an Air Force veteran and served in Vietnam. He was an employee of Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union for 32 years. He was involved with Chattanooga Churches Women's Softball league and was a Sunday school teacher for White Oak Baptist Church where he is a member.
He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Woody ; mother, Louise M. Woody ; sister, Betty Woody Ross; and brothers, James F. Woody , Stanley D. Woody and Glenn M. Woody .
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Phyllis Crisp Woody , of Hixson; daughter, Karyn Woody Hoback and son-in-law, Johnathan D. Hoback, of Chattanooga; sister, Billy Jean Lipscomb, of Kingston, Tenn.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held today at 7 p.m. in the North Chapel with the Rev. Tony DeYoung officiating.
Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
