HODGE , MARION T. - age 82 passed away Thursday October 26, 2006 at the Smyth County Community Hospital.Mr. Hodge was born in Sweetwater, TN to the late Edgar & Nettie Hodge and was preceded in death by three brothers Herbert, Ed and Lewis Hodge . He was a member of the Chilhowie Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Chilhowie and a life member of the Francis Marion V.F.W. Post 4667. Mr. Hodge was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the South Pacific during WWII and was retired from Bacon & Company in Knoxville. Survivors include: wife of 60 Years: Zelma Hodge ; daughter: Terry; grandchildren: Whitney, Jamie & P.J.; great grandchildren:Logan, Kaity, Emily, Makala, Crimson & Mikele; brothers; Marvin, Calvin & Hollis; sisters: Edith Craig, Edna Crisp, Thelma Watkins, Evelyn Calhoun & Patsy Wear. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday October 28, 2006 at the Chilhowie Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Herrell officiating. Interment will follow in Grosses Creek Cemetery with Full Military Honors being rendered by the Francis Marion V.F.W. Post 4667. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations can be made to the Chilhowie Baptist Church Missions Fund P.O.Box 838 Chilhowie, VA 24319. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley’s Funeral Chapel, Chilhowie is serving the Hodge family.
