Survivors include son, John Clay Newman , II of Knoxville; parents, Jim and Eugenia Newman of Talbott; brothers, James and Jason Newman of Brooklyn, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Russ Buchanan of Knoxville and their children, Ashleigh, Harry and Georgi. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations be made to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 4, P.O. Box 2022 Morristown, TN , 37816. The family would also like to draw attention to the importance of organ donation programs and their role in saving lives. John will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
