HASTIE, NELLE BRYANT - age 82, of Talbott, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at her residence. She was a member of Manley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Hastie; parents, Arnie and Lena Bryant; and brothers, Bill and Charlie Bryant. She is survived by her sons, John T. Hastie of Binghamton, NY and James E. (Maria) Hastie of Knoxville; daughter, Janelle A. (Ralph) Hastie Shoaf of Morehead, KY; and grandchildren, Jacob R. Shoaf, Alexander M. Shoaf, John Bryant Hastie, and Michael J. Hastie. Special thanks to caregivers Maria Hastie and Bonnie Franklin. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Emmert officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, December 16, 2011 at the funeral home. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
