Preceded in death by: parents, James and Lonie Young . Survivors include: wife of 63 years, Georgie Chapman Young ; sons, Dewayne Young of Rossville, GA and Charles Franklin Young of Maryville; daughters, Willie Mae Langley of Maryville and Edna Scarbrough of Soddy Daisy, TN ; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest Young and Kelsey Young both of Maryville; sisters, Rosie Gourley of Benton, TN , Mae Blevins, Grace Sparks, Ruby Caldwell, and Josephine Whitehead all of Maryville. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2000 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Herman Helton and Rev. Harold Townsend officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2000 at Mt. View Church Cemetery.
