Sally Irene Reagan of Gatlinburg, Tennessee went home to be with Jesus to her new heavenly home on Thursday, March 10, 2011. She was 84 years old. In passing she was surrounded by her family and friends as she peacefully and lovingly was carried into the arms of her Savior. She is reunited with her beloved husband of 52 years Chester “Buck” Reagan who preceded her in death, along with her parents David Crockett and Mary Elizabeth Compton Ownby, her brother John Wesley Ownby and her beloved grandson Jeffrey Adam Owenby. She was the most kind and loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved everyone with a Jesus kind of love and in turn she was greatly loved and will be missed so very much by those who knew her and loved her. She was a member of the Smoky Mountain Baptist Church.
She is survived by:
Sons and Daughters-in-law: June and Linda Reagan, Rick and Joyce Reagan, Michael “Fatty” Reagan and Randy Lee Reagan
Daughter and Son-in-law: Mary “Sissy”and David Owenby and most special daughter Patsy Ann Reagan who was also her caregiver for many, many years and who is due our thanks and love for the awesome care she gave to make her life so much better and happier.
Grandchildren: Steve Jenkins, Mark and Sheri Owenby, Eric and Lauren Reagan, Starla and Paul Davis, Mandy Walker and Brandon, Josh and Amy Reagan (Josh was another special caregiver, Donna Reagan and Mark, Brandy and Chris Douglas, John Reagan, Casey Reagan, Jacob Reagan and Amber.
Great Grandchildren: Bethany and Brandon Braden, Kailee and Nicholas Ogle, Heath, Logan and Reagan Ownby, Ethan, Tyler and Noah Davis, Gavin Reagan, Corey and Kierra Reagan, Gabby and Remington Cain, Chloe and Phiona Douglas, Emma Tincher
Great- Great Grandchildren: Chase and Jasmine Braden
Sister: Lou Cole (who was another wonderful and loving caregiver)
Brother and sister-in-law: James Lum and Junavee Ownby
Special friends: Ted and Darlene Ogle
Several nieces, nephews, and lots of friends
Pallbearers: Steve Jenkins, Mark Owenby, John, Jake, and Josh Reagan, Paul Davis, Billy and Charlie Cole, David Ownby. Honorary pallbearers: Eric Reagan, Richie Cole, Gene and Paul Ownby, Roy, Chig, Larry and Jerry Manis, Ted Reagan, Ronald and Raymond Ward.
Funeral service 2 PM Sunday at Smoky Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Ogle, Ted Ogle and David Owenby officiating. Interment will follow at Caton’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
