GALYON , RAY ANDERSON - age 66, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital. Member of Washington Pike United Methodist Church. Member of Burlington Lodge F & A.M. #763, Order of The Eastern Star #458, Scottish Rite and Kerbela Temple. He was a retired employee of Knox County School System. He served in The U.S. Army during The Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by father, Kenneth P. Galyon ; mother, Mamie Ruth Williams; brother, Victor Lynn Galyon . Survived by wife, Mary Elizabeth Galyon ; son, Jeff R. Galyon and wife, Julie; daughters, Diana Whitaker, Kathy Burton and husband, Charles; former daughter-in-law, Jeanie Galyon ; grandchildren, Daniel Galyon , Michael Whitaker, Kevin Galyon , Jacob Ramsey, Austin Galyon , Chris Burton, Heather Burton; great-grandson Dylan Burton; great-granddaughter, Destiny Burton; brother, Don Galyon and wife, Margie; brother, David Courtney; several nieces. Funeral service Friday 10:00 a.m. at Berry Chapel, Rev. Jim Bailes officiating. Interment in Highland South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Pike United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2241 Washington Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37917. Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, in charge of arrangements.
