Ronnie Gene ‘Cowboy’ Phillips, 66, of Newport passed away Wednesday December 31, 2014 at the Tennova Newport Medical Center.
He was employed by the Furniture Palace for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Ruby Brown Phillips and sister, Janice Pratt.
He is survived by his son Herbert Phillips of Hickory, NC. Three grandchildren, Alexis Phillips, Brittany Phillips, and Cheyenne Wilcox. Sisters Jannie Bradshaw of Newport and Brandy Harris of Lousianna. Special niece, Jasmine and several other nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday January 2, 2014 from 4pm-6pm with funeral services following at 6pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Cureton officiating.
