Edd called upon the Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. He was retired from Harrison Construction Company with over 40 years service in the Construction Industry. Edd was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Fannie Johnson Barnes; sisters, Wanda Dorsey and Ernestine Burns; brothers, W. C. Barnes and Cecil Barnes. He is survived by his wife, Dot; daughter and son-in-law, Janice Barnes and Leonard Temko; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Debbie Barnes; sisters, Bonnie Ramsey and Barbara Dailey; mother-in-law, Anna Lou Wheeler Smithpeters; brothers-in-law, Chuck Smithpeters and Ralph Dorsey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brummitt and Nancy Smithpeters; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Felicia and Carl Shelton; special friend and boss, Gordon Denton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday, November 17, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with funeral services to follow at 7:00 pm, with Rev. Jim Loftis and Rev. Ransom Hall officiating.
