Edward Lawson Shults, age 76, of Newport, passed away Friday, January 25, 2008 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mamie Bryant Shults; daughter, Cindy Shults Blanchard; brothers, Kenneth Shults, Harold Shults and Talmadge (Bud) Shults. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary J. Shults; children, Eddie Shults, Joey Shults and wife Rebecca, Danny Shults and wife Wanda, Billy Shults, Randall Grooms, Christy Bailey and husband Ronald, Beth Barnes and husband David and Elizabeth Arwood; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Junior McGaha, Wanda and R L Lakins; sisters, Gola Sisk and Patsy Shults; sister-in-law, Claudette Shults; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; special friends, Jackie and Tim Stuart, Matt Holt; special cousin, Carter G. Bryant; also several nieces, nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, January 28, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel., with Rev. Sunshine Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant-Sisk Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm, Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Manes Funeral Home.
