MAPLES, GEORGE ALBERT- age 78 of Strawberry Plains passed away Friday November 4, 2011 at his home. Member of Midway Baptist Church formally Open Door Chapel, also a member of Kodak Masonic Lodge and Order of Odd Fellows. Preceded in death by parents Walter and Ethel Maples, brother Gene Maples, sister Mary Maples. Survived by wife of 50 years Barbara Maples, children Tony Maples, Lisa Goins and husband Ed, grandchildren Ashley Phillips and husband Ross, Amber Williams and husband Eddie, Alex Stallings, Jessica Ann Maples, Michael Maples, great grandchildren Madison and Lake Phillips, Adaleigh Williams, brothers James Maples and wife Pauline, Bud Maples and wife Barbara, sisters Loretta Maples, Nadine Bridges and husband George, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Greg Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at Pollard Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday for Graveside Services at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends 5-7:00 p.m Monday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
