JENKINS, CHARLES WILBUR (BUD) - age 77, of Clinton, went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2010 at his residence. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge and was active in the senior program. Bud was a retired carpenter who loved going to flea markets and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a loving Husband and Father and veteran of the U. S. Army where he served on the Alaskan frontier. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Jenkins; infant daughter, Darlene Jenkins; father & mother, George and Mollie Jenkins; brothers, Jim, Jack, Ken, and Tommy Jenkins; sisters, Evelyn Brooks, Mary Underwood, and Peggy Smith. Survived by children: Effie Tipton and husband Philip, Michael Jenkins and wife Debbie, Molly Kegley and husband William, John Jenkins and wife Kimberly, all of Clinton; grandchildren, Caleb Tipton and wife Kate, Josh Tipton and wife Brittany, Amanda McAmis and husband Clay, Hannah Pratt and husband Justin, Beth Dabbs and husband Ryan, Curt Jenkins, Mary Kate Kegley, Anna Kegley, Samuel Jenkins, Noah Jenkins and Abigail Jenkins; great grandchildren: Andrew McAmis, Mollie Ann McAmis, Sophia Ann Tipton, Aubrey Jane Tipton, Lydia Ann Pratt; sister, Betty Watson; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Jenkins, Pat Jenkins, Joyce Jenkins; brothers-in-law, Bill Hughes, Dawson Hughes and wife Mary, Charles Hughes and wife Ellen, Hugo Hughes and wife Pat, Jimmy Hughes and wife Alice; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of prayer and love from family and friends who visited and sent cards during our father's fight with cancer. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 6-8PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, with funeral to follow at 8:00PM with Pastor Steve McDonald and Rev. Justin Pratt officiating. Interment will be Thursday, December 16th at 11:00AM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
