Bessie J. Williams Moore, age 90, of Dandridge (Sandy Ridge Community) passed away Wednesday morning, May 26, at the Jefferson County Nursing Home.
Bessie was born, July 9, 1908, and was a life-long resident of Jefferson County. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Beginnings Church of God.
Preceded in death by her husband, Hyram B. Moore; sister, Lillian Lane; and brothers, David J. Williams, Sam T. Williams, and Jess Williams.
Survivors are: brothers, James L. “Joker” Williams, John A. Williams, Charles F. and wife, Inez Williams, and Will Jr. and wife, Geneva Williams and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge.
Funeral services will be Thursday evening 8 p.m. at the Dandridge Chapel of Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hensley ofŢciating. Interment graveside services, Friday at 11 a.m. at Hills Union Methodist Cemetery.
