Charles E. Ford, 74, of Friendsville, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Georgia Purkey Ford; brothers, James and Coy Ford; sister, Evelyn Harmon. He retired from Auto Body Repair Work. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rowena Stooksbury Ford; sons and daughter-in-law, Lee Ford, Lynn and Rosemary Ford; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Danny Neubert, Mary Ann and Randy Buchanan; brothers, Robert and Clayton Ford; sister, Betty Jo Giffin; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Grayson Garrett and Rev. Donnie Dixon officiating. The burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Friendsville. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
