He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Seymour, and was an avid Sevier County Football and UT Football fan. Survivors: father, Burl M. French ; mother, Rebecca Goins, Chattanooga; brothers, Albert French and wife, Angela, and Jesse French ; sister, Lacey French ; niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Stephen French ; grandparents, Clarence and Nell French , Joyce Hardy, Chattanooga. Funeral service 3 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 1999, at the First Baptist Church in Sevierville. Interment will follow in Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery in Maryville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 4627 Mill Branch Lane, Knoxville, TN 37938. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Atchley Funeral Home in charge.
