Wilma Finchum, age 64, of Newport, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Author McGaha, and brother, Tom McGaha. She is survived by her husband, Robert Finchum, of Newport; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Debbie Finchum, of Talbott; mother, Grace McGaha, of Newport; brothers, Robert McGaha, of Hartford; Junior McGaha, of Newport; and Shannon McGaha and his wife, Judy, of Cosby; sister, Frances Leatherwood, of Hartford; grandchildren, Angel King, of N.C.; Amber and Josh Finchum, of Talbott; great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Xavier King, of N.C.; nieces and nephews, Connie Sutton, Mike Leatherwood, Donna Coggins, and Shane McGaha; great-nieces and great-nephews, Zachary Sutton, Courtney Sutton, Tyler Coggins, Kristin Coggins, and Blake Coggins. Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Johnny Wallin and the Rev. Ransom Hall officiating. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral services at Manes Funeral Home.
