Frank Burl Banks, age 61 of Hartford went to be with his Lord Friday evening December 2, 2005 at Baptist Hospital West in Knoxville following a lengthy illness.
Frank was a retired farmer and a member of Thompson Branch Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield and Mary (Gates) Banks. Also one son, Jim Banks; four brothers, Ernest Banks, Lacy Gates, Bartley Gates and infant Banks; three sisters also preceded him in death, Arletha Banks Jenkins, Dora McGaha and Euniva Banks.

Frank is survived by his wife of 36 years, Louise (Bullington) Banks of the home; daughter, Mary Kate Banks of Hartford and son, Jeff and wife, Missy Bullington also of Hartford; sisters, Beulah and husband, Robert Combs of Hartford, Gracie McGaha of Hartford; one brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Eva Gates of Cosby and two special grandchildren, Hayley Banks and Dave Bullington; special sister-in-law, Carolyn Ball. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Aileen Wilson, Nola Wilson and Beadie Banks and brother-in-law, Arthur Bullington of Hartford. Frank will also be missed by special nurse Brooke Askew and numerous friend.

The family will receive friends Monday December 5, 2005 at Brown Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. J.L. Fisher officiating.
Graveside service will be conducted Tuesday December 6, 2005 at 11 o'clock at Banks Cemetery in Hartford.
