Loposser - age 68 of Kingston, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2013. He was a member and Deacon of New Midway Baptist Church in Kingston. Ben enjoyed mission work, travel, and he gave more to the world than he took. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ben was a former employee of the Oak Ridge Fire Department and a retired commander with K-25 Fire Department. After retirement Ben served as lieutenant with the East Roane County Volunteer Fire Department. Preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Mable Loposser; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Paul Pickel. Survived by his wife, Sharon Loposser; sons, Darren Loposser and wife, Janice and Wade Loposser; brother and sister-in-law, Jim Loposser and wife, Charlotte of Lenoir City; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the New Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Rod Garrett officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
