Mr. Johnny Steve Barnett, age 29 of Newport passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Elizabeth and Ed Doak Lane.
He is survived by by his spouse, Daisy Barnett of the home; daughter, LeeAnn Green; parents, Teresa Jones and partner Robert Webber all of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Jessie and B.J. Ridge of Oak Ridge; brothers, Kenny Barnett, Cory Barnett, Jay Lee Jones, Billy Jones, and Tracy Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Vella Barnett; aunts and uncles, Jeannie Lane, Savannah Lane, Larry and Linda Lane, Sherry Lane, Lonnie Lane, and Ethel and Bootsie Fox all of Newport; additional survivors include eleven nieces and nephews and special friends, Darlene Spencer, Jeff Hill, Melissa Zook, Ann Costella and family and several cousins all of Newport.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2009 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Foust and Rev. Eugene Ball officiating. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, January 15, 2009 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Jones, Joe Stuart, Kenny Barnett, Cory Barnett, Mark Denny, George Green, Lonnie Brooks Jr., and Vincent Lane.
