Miss Hazel (Jeannie) Lane, age 55, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2009.
Miss Lane worked for Dollywood for 11 years and worked all her life to take care of her parents and everyone in her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ed Doak and Annie Elizabeth Lane and a brother Ed Doak Lane, Jr.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law Ethel and Charles Fox, sisters Savannah Lane and Teresa Jones, all of Newport; sister Sherry Lane of Sevierville; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Linda Lane and brother Lonnie Lane, all of Newport; brother-in-law Lonnie D. Brooks, Sr. of Del Rio.
Additional survivors include several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Strange officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
