Dr. Leslie Carlton Renegar, Jr. DDS, 80, died on Saturday, March 26, 2005 in a local hospital.
Dr. Renegar was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Bessie Ogle Renegar and a sister, Dorothy Mooney.
He was a graduate of Chattanooga High School, attended Carson-Newman College, the University of Chicago, the University of Chattanooga and graduated from the University of Tennessee Dental School.
He was retired after practicing dentistry for 50 years in Chattanooga. He was a member of the Chattanooga Area Dental Society, the Tennessee State Dental Association, and a retired life member of the American Dental Association.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in the Golden Gateway and the Waters Sunday School Class.
Dr. Renegar was a Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion post 148.
He is survived by his wife, Patircia "Patsy" Dickson Renegar; one son, Leslie Carlton Renegar, III and wife, Tracy, Flintstone, GA; daughter, Kimberly Beno and husband, Tim, Louisville, KY; one half sister, Kathy Renegar, Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren, Caleb Leslie and Lauren Brook Renegar, both of Flintstone and Andrew Carlton, Abbty and Amanda Beno, all of Louisville.
Arrangements will be announced by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
