Smokies. She married Amos (Bog) Bogart Bull and left the mountains in 1935. They had five children; Marty (Elden) Elmer, Carol (Keith) Walden, Bogart Bull, Jr. (Sara), Letha (Tom) Hopwood, and Inger (Fred) Ponton, and her niece, Dorothy Roberts who Trula considered as her own child. Trula has one surviving sister, Kathleen Whaley Deitz. She also was the proud grandma of Eric Elmer, Angel Laughter (Steve), Brian Walden (deceased), Brett Hopwood, Colleen Hopwood, Kathleen (Fran) Aiello, John Bull (Crystal), Melissa Bull (Zach), and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bog, her son, Bog Jr. and 3 sistrs and 5 brothers. Trula was a former member of Fort Sanders Baptist Church and currently a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church. Trula retired from Ft. Sanders Medical Center where she worked for 14 ½ years. Trula was an extremely loving person, adored by her children and everyone who knew her. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Friday at Colonial Heights United Methodist Church with a funeral service, celebrating her life to follow at 7:00 pm. Rev. Laura Rasor and Rev. John McGaha officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Edgewood Cemetery for a 10:00 am interment service.
