WHALEY, BEN, 65, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (Aug. 14, 1991) at VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was born in Elkmont, Tenn., and came here in 1983 from Gatlinburg, Tenn. He was a retired carpenter. He served in the Navy during World War II, and in the Marines during the Korean War. He was a Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Pax Howard- Whaley, Sevierville, Tenn.; two brothers, John W., Knoxville, Tenn., and Alvin, Seminole; and four sisters, Inger Allen and Kathy Deitz, both of Seminole, Eva Henry, Satellite Beach, and Trula Bull, Knoxville. E. James Reese Funeral Home, Seminole.
