CARTER, Elfreda Cunningham, age 82 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alcoa and was preceded in death by her son, John Frederick Carter and brothers, Joe, Willard and Kenneth.
Survivors include her husband, William Jackson ''Jack'' Carter; son, William Jackson ''Bill'' Carter, III; daughters, Donna Carter Gilliam of Alcoa and Glenda Rose Carter of Maryville; 2 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Cunningham of Kingston and Paul Cunningham of GA; sisters, Bernice Martello of Washington, Doris Montooth of Philadelphia, TN and Hersel Bradford of Nashville; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at West View Cemetery in Sweetwater for a graveside service with Rev. J. W. Hopper, Rev. Danny Davis and Rev. Bobby Nick officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
