She was retired from the Blount County School System. Joyce was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Homer McCollum and father, James Long. Survived by her children, Kathy Brashears and husband, Richard of Lenoir City, Karen Kirk and husband, Jerry of Powell; mother, Kathleen Hammontree Long; sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Butch Stinnett; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, H. C. and Delores McCollum, Richard and Eve McCollum; special cousins, Scotty and Aileen Long; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Guider officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Monday in the Hickory Valley Cemetery for graveside services. Those wishing to make memorials may do so to the Hickory Valley Cemetery Fund.
