Mrs. Agnes Hardin Miles, 84, of Knoxville passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011, in Knoxville.
She was retired from the Department of Energy.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Miles; parents James Rankin Hardin and Irene Marie Steele Hardin; sisters Violet Hardin (Jack) Calfee, Hazel Hardin, and Marie Hardin Thomas; brother Jesse (Lorinda Linda Allen) Hardin; sister-in-law Ada Lou Hardin; and brother-in-law Allen Thomas.
Mrs. Miles is survived by 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, brother James "Jay" Williams Hardin; stepchildren Doris Adams and Joyce (Jerry) Herron, both of Smyrna, TN; Nancy (Sam) Hedrick and Marie (Glen) Hobby, both of Knoxville; Vickie (Dan) Sanchez of Jacksonville, FL, and Donna (David) Coakley of Newport; and great-niece Lucindy (Daryl) Pack of Newport.
The funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Spell officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday December 5, 2011, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
