Colleen O’Neill, born March 24th, 1966, passed away at her home in Pigeon Forge on Monday, August 29th, 2011, after a long battle with kidney disease. She was a member of Banner Baptist Church where she attended an auction just last Saturday night.
Colleen was born with an unconditional love for all God’s creatures and provided unselfish care for all she encountered throughout her life, both two and four-legged ones. She helped establish and build Loving Care Kennels in Pigeon Forge where she was an exceptional groomer.
Colleen was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Anne Ferguson and Jennie McKoy; cousin, India Johnsen.
She is survived by her children and their partners, Jerica Brackins and Airon Bishop, Charles and Peggy Brackins (who will soon be parents to twin boys that Colleen was very excited to meet); mother, Lida O’Neill; her beloved companion, Bobby Cardwell and his daughter, Paige, and her children, Ada and Rylee; aunt, Pam Johnsen; cousins, Erika, Brittney and John Williams. She is also survived by her ‘grandchild in training,’ Dominic Saltalamacchia.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, September 1, 2011, 7 p.m. at Banner Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. and the service will follow.
