He was preceded in death by brother Darrell. Survived by his loving wife of 19 years Michelle; son, Jerry; parents Elmer and Gertrude May; brothers, Wayne and wife Sherry, Richard; sisters, Sue Ivey and husband Mike, Phyllis Hunley (Todd Beeler); sister-in-law, Jamie Humbard; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knoxville Volunteer Rescue Squad, 512 N. Chilhowee Drive, Knoxville, TN 37924. Family and friends will gather for a memorial service 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Highland Baptist Church, 6014 Babelay Rd; Knoxville, TN 37924 with Rev. Dennis Blazier officiating.
