Retired machinist supervisor for Union Carbide Oak Ridge for 30 years. Preceded in death by father, Jessee Ben Bowman ; mother Ida Bowman ; sister Betty Kennemore; brother, Benny Bowman . Survivors: wife of 49 years, Libby Bowman ; daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Rhonda) Hunter of Corryton; Mrs. Douglas (Yvonne) Fielden of Heiskell; son, James Randall Bowman of Halls; grandchildren, Tara, Misty, & Steven Bowman , Amy & Aaron Fielden, Jason Kirkpatrick & Hope Hunter. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30 at Highland View Baptist Church. Rev. L.B. Herrell, Rev. Harvey Sherlin & Rev. Doug Fielden officiating. Interment in Halls Memory Gardens. Pallbearers: Jason Kirkpatrick, Aaron Fielden, Steven Bowman , Frank Wright, Roy LaRue, Don Webb, & Ernie Bowman . Body will lie in state one hour before funeral service. Mynatt's in charge of arrangements.
