Artie Jane Young Norris, age 84, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was a longtime faithful member of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church. Retired from Palm Beach Company with over 40 years service. Preceded in death by husband, Adrian M. Norris; parents, Mary & Henry Young; brothers, Millard & Grant Young; sisters, Julie Thompson and Sylvia Bowman. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; David & Shanna Norris, Mike & Brenda Norris, Wesley & Wendy Norris; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene & Mike Johnson; Grandchildren, Brian & Kelly Norris, Kevin & Allison Teeters, Scott & Rebecca Norris, Stacie & Chris Osborne, Jessica Norris, Christopher Norris, Mikayla Norris, Morgan Webster, Liana Hinchey, Mike Johnson, Jr. and Kathy; Great-Grandchildren, Hailey & Kendall Teeters, Ainsley Norris, Peyton Norris, Naomi and Caleb Johnson; loving sister Rhoda Norris; brothers and wives, Olis & Rilda Young of Vonore, Edgar & Harlean Young; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to all the staff at Smoky Mountain Hospice. Pallbearers: Brian, Scott, Christopher & Anthony Norris, Chris Osborne & Kevin Teeters. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, August 26th at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with the funeral to follow at 7 pm, Reverend Jerry Crye officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home on Saturday, August 27th at 10:00 am to go in procession to Mt. Olive Cemetery for the 11:00 am Interment.
