Nora E. Woods - age 70 of Loudon passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Parkwest Hospital. Nora was a lifelong member of New Providence Baptist Church. She touched a lot of children’s lives by her years of teaching at North Middle School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruth Dutton Eldridge. Survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim Woods; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Brian Bevins; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Amy Woods all of Loudon; grandchildren, Zachary, Nicolas and Alyssa Bevins, and Jacob Woods; sisters, Betty Henderson and Cynthia Eldridge both of Loudon; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Highland Park Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Click and Rev. Charlie Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Thompson Cancer Survival Center Stem Cell Program, 1919 White Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916.
